Collecting Personal Information:
When you register for Loop Financial Inc.’s (“Loop”) credit report access service to obtain a credit score and/or credit report for yourself and any other identified entity (each an “Entity” and collectively “Entities”) at no charge, we, with your consent, will obtain and provide you with the credit score and/or credit report for each Entity from Equifax or another consumer reporting agency at no-charge. You hereby confirm that you are authorized to provide consent on behalf of each Entity.
We will collect information (i.e. first and last name, date of birth, social insurance number, mailing address telephone number, business name and business address) about the Entities (“Personal Information”) in order to obtain and provide the credit reports and/or credit scores for each of the Entities.
Loop will use each Entity’s credit scores and credit reports and Personal Information to understand each Entity’s financial needs and credit history and provide information about products and services offered by Loop and third parties that may be of interest to each Entity. Loop will obtain and provide each Entity’s’ credit score and/or credit report after your registration is accepted and intermittently for as long as your account with Loop is open. Loop will not disclose Personal Information to third parties (other than its affiliates) for marketing purposes without your consent.
Credit reports about an entity typically contain information about the types and amounts of credit advanced, payment histories, negative banking items, collection actions, legal proceedings and bankruptcies reported by the entity’s creditors. If you wish to withdraw your consent to the collection and use of Personal Information, simply close your Loop account by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online Registration: To register for the credit report access service one must provide an email address and a chose a confidential password to order to create an online account to access the service. We strongly recommend that passwords be maintained in confidence. We will never ask anyone for their password in any unsolicited communication.
Marketing and Promotional Communications: Loop may use Personal Information to contact an Entity by mail, email or telephone to market or promote products and services that may be of interest. Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not disclose, trade, sell or transfer Personal Information in any manner not provide permitted without your consent.
Service Providers: Personal Information may be transferred (or otherwise made available) to our affiliates and other third parties who provide products and services on our behalf. Loop uses service providers to host the Website, operate certain of its features, send communications in electronic form, or manage and analyze data and our advertising effectiveness. Personal Information may be maintained and processed by Loop and its affiliates and other third-party service providers in foreign jurisdictions. If Personal Information is transferred to a foreign jurisdiction, it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be disclosed to or accessed by the courts, law enforcement and governmental authorities in accordance with those laws. Service providers are only given the Personal Information they need to perform their designated functions and are not authorized to use or disclose Personal Information for any other purpose.
Equifax or other consumer reporting agency: When you sign up for Loop’s credit report access service, you provide consent to us to provide the first and last name, date of birth, mailing address, telephone number, social insurance number, business name and business address (if applicable) for each Entity to Equifax so that they can provide credit score and/or credit report for each Entity in accordance with this Policy.
Legal/Compliance: Loop, its affiliates and service providers may provide your Personal Information to comply with legally enforceable demand or legal process (i.e. a search warrant) or to other duly authorized authority investigating a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or detecting, suppressing or preventing fraud or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law. Personal Information may also be disclosed where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and to investigate or prevent actual or suspected loss or harm to persons or property.
Sale of Business: Personal Information may be transferred in connection with a prospective or completed merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of Loop or as part of a corporate reorganization or stock sale or other change in corporate control.
Collecting Information About Your Visit To Our Website
One can visit the Website anonymously. We and our service providers collect IP addresses and other information such as page requests, browser type, operating system and average time spent on the Website for each visitor to help us monitor and improve the Website.
